Add recipes and photos
Open Recipes and tap + to create a recipe. Enter ingredients and instructions, or add photos and use text recognition to create an editable draft. You can select several photos in one visit to the photo picker.
Review recognized text and nutrition
Check the draft before applying it. Photo quality and recipe layout can affect which text is identified as ingredients, instructions, calories, protein, carbohydrates, or fat. Correct the fields as needed and confirm whether nutrition is listed per serving before saving it.
Find recipes with ingredients you have
Use the ingredient lookup button in Recipes. Enter ingredients separated by commas or new lines, then choose to match any or all of them. Results come from your saved recipe collection.
Plan meals and make a shopping list
Schedule recipes in your meal plan and create shopping lists from selected recipes. Review quantities and units, then check off items as you shop. Use cooking mode to follow recipe instructions.
Back up your collection
Your collection is stored on your device. In Settings, choose Create Backup, then Share Latest Backup to save a copy somewhere you control. To restore, choose Inspect Backup and review its contents. Restoring replaces your current recipes, photos, shopping lists, and planned meals, so save a current backup first.
Photo, camera, and microphone access
You choose which photos to import. Camera and voice features need the corresponding iOS permissions. You can manage app permissions in iOS Settings. Voice entry requires on-device speech recognition support for your language.
Nutrition values
Nutrition values come from information you enter or review from recipe text. They are not independently verified. The app’s nutrition and body-composition tools provide general information rather than medical advice.
